The wild turkeys usually live in hardwood and some kind of mixed conifer-hardwood forests with openings like fields, pastures, orchards, or marshes. There’s one common thing for all these areas – there are no mirrors there. So when this live turkey sees its own reflection, it’s no wonder it fell in love with it!
This beautiful wild turkey stands in front of an office window and casually knocks on it! LOL! I mean, how crazy is that?! Who would have ever expected that a turkey can show up like that! But that’s not the end! Just as I thought this turkey only came to say hi, I realized, it is not knocking on the window for the social purposes! It is knocking because it can’t resist its own reflection!!! Awww! Amazing! It fell in love! LOL! This is by far one of the silliest turkey related videos I’ve ever seen, and it’s so funny that you really have to check it out!
If you don’t know your turkey facts, let me refresh your memory!
Although we all call them turkeys, male turkeys are called “gobblers,” after the “gobble” call they make to announce themselves. Female turkeys are called hens, just like the chicken females. Besides gobble, turkeys make various other sounds, such as “purrs,” “yelps” and “kee-kees.”
Turkeys look a bit silly, but they aren’t to be messed with. They can run at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour and fly as fast as 55 miles per hour. However, their cousins, domesticated turkeys cannot fly. Here’s another trivia! The color of a turkey’s head and throat will change depending on its mood. Imagine that! There is a legend that Ben Franklin wanted the turkey, rather than the bald eagle, to be the national bird of the United States. However, it’s just an urban myth.
